Rogla to Lovrenc lakes
One of the most typical hikes starts at Rogla ski resort. It’s easy 1 hour walk, suitable for small children.
Lovrenc swamp
High up in Pohorje, where deep down the rivers Radoljna, Mislinja and Velka collect their waters, there is a peat swamp with eleven to twenty-two lakes, depending on the extent and stability of still water. This typical swamp on the Pohorje mountain crest originates 6000 years back to the past, and during the times it changed from a mineral swamp into a high swamp with peat sizing deep to 290 cm. The most part of the peat swamp is covered with dwarf pines and typical flora for higher swamps. The swamp is the biggest in Slovenia, it lies on the very south of Europe on silicate grounding. It is a part of the forest reservation of the lakes of Lovrenc .
