Ancient St. Danijela ruins

 

Once famous pilgrim church, located under Gorjanci at the head of a pilgrim’s trail ending somwhere in the middle of Gorjanci raises more questions than answers.

Start your hike at Tolsti vrh region. Taste some cvicek and then ask locals for Daniel ruins. You’ll probably end with even more questions.

It’s easy walk, suitable for young children. It will take from half an hour to 2 hours (one direction) – depending on your interest about nature and surrounding area.

If you decide to pass Daniel and continue, the footpath will lead you by this tower all the way to the Gorjanci summit.
